Base for the planer

This wood planer is made of V-SLOT aluminum construction profiles. The use of profiles means that planers and other structures can be expanded with additional components.
The base of the planer is an addition that allows the planer to be installed on a specially designed structure made of V-SLOT 2040 aluminum profiles, thanks to which, among other things, the rigidity of the device will be improved. This element can also be very useful in a situation where we do not have a simple, rigid table/base on which we want to install both a device such as a planer and the wood we intend to process.

The above-mentioned elements together with the aluminum profiles allow the base to be screwed together. The kit is delivered in parts for self-assembly.

ALUMINUM PROFILES:

In addition to the basic components listed above, you will receive V-SLOT aluminum profiles cut to size to fit the dimensions of your planner.
The set includes the following profiles:

V-SLOT 2040 profile, 2 pcs., length = corresponds to the length of the Y axis of the planer - 40mm (choose for the price) (outer frame)
V-SLOT 2040 profile, 2 pieces, length = compatible with the X-axis length of the planer (choose by price) (outer frame)
V-SLOT 2040 profile, 3 pcs., length = as planer X axis - 40mm (internal support beams)
V-SLOT 2060 profile, 2 pcs., length = 2/3 of Y-axis length




ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE PLANNER BASE

As described above, the base allows you to mount the wood planer structure on the base, which increases the rigidity of the structure.
The base can be mounted on a table or on the floor, and the part we will machine will rest on the support beams of the base, which will provide an even base for our material.




Thanks to the use of aluminum profiles, the middle beams can be set at different distances, which will allow you to create a support for materials of different sizes.
In addition, the set includes 2060 V-SLOT profiles, which we can install on the support beams and adjust them to the size of our material, thanks to which we can tighten and fix the material in one place.
Additional 2060 profiles also allow you to lift the material higher in case the cutter cannot reach the material due to its length.


The central support beams, which are V-SLOT 2040 profiles, can be set vertically or horizontally.
The vertical settings provide high base rigidity, but turning them horizontally adds another 20mm to the height of our planer! Thanks to this, we will increase the working area in the Z axis by another 20 mm!
